Hi, Angela here
I developed Paw Naturel products to provide dog owners and dog groomers alike with the most natural effective treatments possible that are kind to paws and hands!
What was my inspiration?
I love dogs! Not only do I have my own dogs but I have worked with dogs in a Dog grooming capacity for over 10 years. Unfortunately, I have suffered with eczema from birth and over the year I have experimented with an extensive range of dog shampoos from all over the world. Trying to find a shampoo that didnt irritate my skin was like looking for a needle in a haystack! In addition to this, I was becoming more and more aware of dogs visiting my salon also experiencing skin problems, something that I could totally relate to and I wanted to do something about it. My journey began with a lot of research, reading books and contacting experts, and more research!
What makes Paw Naturel special?
Throughout the manufacturing process each product combination was tested on myself first, if anything irritates my skin, then it wont be allowed in my product. The ingredients that have been selected for my products are high end, as I believe dogs deserve better than to have harsh harmful chemicals. The ingredients were also chosen to be kind gentle and effective, and hypoallergenic. When I had the trial product, my hands were horrifically infected, in fact I was just about to start another course of antibiotics, which would have been the 3rd pack in a row. I placed this product raw on my infected skin to ensure that dogs would not be hurting if they had bad skin. I used the products for 2 weeks in the salon without using anything else my hands had healed, and this was without using that packet of antibiotics. And thats' what I love about this healing product and why I am so passionate about bringing to you a product that was designed for dogs but lots of humans use. In fact, I am not embarrassed to say that to this day I use it as a shower wash, and for my children. The product is a top of the range product that can be used on humans. Now how many dog shampoos can say that!
Where is Paw Naturel's products produced?
All our products are handmade in England, especially from the North West, where we are based. From the labels, through to the containers and product itself, supporting the British economy, which we are proud about. Everything has been purchased with quality in mind! To ensure that we are the best, our extra thick labels are laminated to ensure water doesn't rub off our good name. As a little bit of our shampoo really does go a long way.
What makes Paw Naturel completely different to other shampoos?
Paw Naturel is free from harsh chemical sulphates also known as SLES and SLS, some naughty dog brands will hide this by using a ringword term like 'Coconut derived cleansers'. This is naughty as it makes people think its a natural base. They might even not list these ingredients, as the law here in the UK means that you don't have to list your ingredients. This is why I am happy to declare all my ingredients, I am an honest person, with an honest company, and a very honest brand, and I want my customers to see this, that we really have the best products on the market.
Tell us a little bit more about SLES and SLS..
SLES and SLS are classed as harsh chemical sulphates also known as
SLES - Sodium Laureth Sulfate
SLS Sodium Lauryl Sulfate
You will find these in 98% of products regardless of whether they are dog shampoo or human hair shampoo. They are both cheap corrosive chemicals that strip and cleanse. whilst they clean they also take all the goodness out of the hair and skin, and can cause skin irritations such as eczema, psoriasis, eye irritations, poor coat amongst a host of other stuff. See for yourself by typing the above chemicals into one of the search engines such as google.
